Primary Responsibilities
 

About the Role

We are seeking a technically strong Instrument Engineer to support the design, engineering, and execution of instrumentation systems for major industrial and energy projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for instrumentation engineering activities across various stages of project execution, ensuring systems are designed in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refining, or Industrial EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation Engineering

  • Prepare and review instrumentation engineering deliverables including datasheets, specifications, instrument index, hook-up drawings, and loop diagrams
  • Support design and selection of field instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments
  • Review P&IDs, Cause & Effect diagrams, and control philosophies
  • Support development of control system architecture and instrumentation design
  • Ensure compliance with international engineering standards and project specifications

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate with Process, Electrical, Mechanical, and Telecom teams during project execution
  • Review vendor documents and technical submissions
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities
  • Support procurement and technical bid evaluations
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation-related issues

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure instrumentation deliverables are completed within project schedules and quality standards
  • Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation
  • Promote engineering best practices and project safety requirements

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation engineering within Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects
  • Familiar with DCS, SIS, PLC, and field instrumentation systems
  • Experience with EPC, FEED, or detailed engineering projects is advantageous
  • Good understanding of international standards including IEC and ISA
  • Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation systems
