Primary Responsibilities
 

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on construction equipment including excavators, loaders, cranes, generators, compressors, vehicles, and other heavy machinery.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults.
  • Replace, repair, and overhaul components such as engines, pumps, hoses, bearings, brakes, and transmission systems.
  • Follow up and track maintenance and inspection regimes.
  • Check and propose required spare parts to be purchased and stocked.

Inspection & Fault Diagnosis

  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and pre-/post-operation checks.
  • Identify potential faults early and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
  • Prepare clear fault diagnosis and repair reports.

Preventive Maintenance Planning

  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and company and project/site maintenance and inspection regime.
  • Support implementation of maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues and improvement opportunities.

Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

  • Ensure all maintenance and repair works comply with WSH regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Follow lock-out / tag-out procedures and safe work practices at all times.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping of workshop, tools, and work areas.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and repair documentation.
  • Record spare parts usage and report parts requirements to supervisors.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing maintenance documentation and reports.

Site & Operational Support

  • Attend to urgent equipment breakdowns at project sites, including after-hours or weekend support when required.
  • Coordinate with logistics coordinator/store IC, site supervisors, engineers, and operations teams to prioritise repair works.
  • Support equipment mobilisation and demobilisation activities.

Continuous Improvement & Support

  • Provide technical input on equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist in improving maintenance practices and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor or management.
