Primary Responsibilities
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Schedule Development and Management

  • Develop detailed project schedules for facility operations, including maintenance, renovations, and new construction using Primavera P6 and/or other project management tools.

  • Identify milestones, dependencies, and critical paths for facility-related projects.

  • Coordinate schedules across multiple teams, contractors, and external vendors.

  • Standardize project schedules and reporting in accordance with Marina Bay Sands Project Control requirements.

  • Coach and support contractors in transitioning to Primavera P6 scheduling software and ensure compliance with project control standards (cost, schedule, and deliverables).


2. Progress Monitoring and Updates

  • Track and update project schedules to reflect actual progress.

  • Perform critical path analysis to ensure timely project delivery.

  • Monitor schedule performance and provide regular reports to leadership.

  • Identify critical path activities and dependencies to optimize project timelines.

  • Ensure optimal resource utilization and avoid over-allocation.

  • Continuously monitor project performance against the baseline schedule.

  • Identify potential delays or risks and recommend corrective actions.


3. Coordination and Communication

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, maintenance staff, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines.

  • Schedule and facilitate coordination meetings to address potential conflicts or changes.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all schedule-related matters.


4. Risk Management and Mitigation

  • Identify potential scheduling risks such as resource shortages or procurement delays.

  • Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate project disruptions.


5. Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare schedule reports, Gantt charts, and dashboards for stakeholder review.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of schedules, revisions, and project timelines.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • Valid Primavera P6 license with proven hands-on expertise.


Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5–8 years of scheduling experience in facilities management, construction, or maintenance projects.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders and complex timelines.

  • Strong familiarity with facility operations, building systems, and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Experience coordinating shutdowns, refurbishments, and multi-phase construction schedules.

  • Proficiency in advanced scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, procurement timelines, and project cost control.

  • Skilled in resource leveling, workload balancing, and critical path analysis.

The Planning Manager (Scheduler) in the Facilities Department is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing schedules for maintenance, construction, renovation, and other facility-related projects. This role ensures that all tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while minimizing disruptions to facility operations.

The incumbent will work closely with project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate timelines, monitor progress, and identify potential risks.
