About the Company

Our client is an established Singapore-based engineering and marine services company supporting customers across the offshore and marine industries. The company provides specialised marine solutions and services to shipyards, vessel owners and other industry stakeholders.

As part of its continued growth, the company is seeking a commercially driven Marine Sales Executive to develop customer relationships, generate new business opportunities and support the successful delivery of marine projects.

About the Role

The Marine Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with marine and shipyard customers while driving sales and business development activities.

You will manage the full sales cycle from customer enquiries and RFQs through to quotations, follow-up and project execution. The role also requires close coordination with operations and project teams to ensure customer requirements are met and marine projects are delivered successfully.

The successful candidate will combine strong industry knowledge with commercial awareness, customer relationship management and a proactive approach to business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with marine, offshore and shipyard customers.
  • Handle customer enquiries, RFQs, quotations and sales follow-ups.
  • Promote marine services and products to existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities to expand the customer base and market share.
  • Leverage existing industry contacts and develop new relationships to generate business opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with operations and project teams to ensure smooth project execution, completion and delivery.
  • Support ship repair and ship parts projects from a commercial and customer coordination perspective.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address customer requirements and concerns.
  • Source materials and coordinate with suppliers where required.
  • Monitor market conditions, industry trends and regulatory developments that may affect the business.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, sales and marketing reports and business performance updates for management.
  • Plan and execute customer engagement, sales and marketing activities to generate market awareness and demand.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and analyse feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Provide market and customer insights to operations teams to support productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation.
  • Support management with ad hoc commercial and business development projects.

About the Candidate

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Marine Studies or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of sales and marketing experience within the marine, offshore, shipyard or related industrial sector.
  • Experience in waste treatment/environmental services would also be considered.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development.
  • Established network and relationships within the marine, offshore or shipyard industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong customer relationship management and service orientation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Effectively bilingual, with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of customers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and commercial skills.
  • Good report writing and documentation skills.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Team-oriented, dynamic and results-driven.
  • Willing to work a 5.5-day work week.
