About the Role

We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Telecom Engineer to support the design, engineering, and implementation of telecommunications systems for major industrial and energy projects.

This role will be responsible for delivering telecom and communication system engineering activities across various stages of project execution, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, international standards, project requirements, and operational reliability objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support safe, efficient, and reliable communication infrastructure for large-scale EPC and industrial developments.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrial projects within an engineering consultancy or EPC environment.

Key Responsibilities

Telecom System Engineering

• Perform telecom engineering design and technical support for industrial and infrastructure projects
• Prepare and review telecom system design documents, specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables
• Support the design and integration of systems including: Fiber Optic Networks, Structured Cabling Systems, CCTV Systems, Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA) Systems, Radio Communication Systems, Telephone Systems, LAN/WAN Networks, Access Control Systems, Data Communication Systems
• Develop telecom layouts, block diagrams, network architecture drawings, and system schematics
• Ensure telecom systems comply with project specifications, client requirements, and international engineering standards

Engineering & Project Coordination

• Coordinate with Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, IT, and Construction teams during project execution
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and interdisciplinary coordination activities
• Review vendor documents, technical bid evaluations, and supplier submissions
• Support procurement activities and technical clarifications with vendors and contractors
• Assist in FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and system integration activities

Project Delivery & Compliance

• Ensure telecom engineering deliverables are completed within project schedules and quality requirements
• Support compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and client specifications
• Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, and progress updates
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues during engineering and project execution phases
• Promote engineering best practices, quality standards, and project safety requirements

Key Requirements

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Telecom Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrial projects
• Familiar with industrial telecom systems including fiber optics, PAGA, CCTV, LAN/WAN, radio, and communication networks
• Experience with EPC, FEED, Detailed Engineering, or brownfield projects will be an advantage
• Ability to review telecom drawings, specifications, datasheets, and vendor documentation
• Familiar with international engineering standards and telecom design practices
• Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation systems
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
