Primary Responsibilities
|
| |
- Reporting to I&C Area Lead/Senior Engineer.
- Prepares documents and drawings as per instruction of Area Lead / Lead Engineer.
- Checks all drawings/documents from designers/vendors as per instructions of Area Lead Engineer / Senior Design Engineer.
- Performs data input and calculations.
- Applies codes and standards.
- Implements check sheets and suggests improvements if necessary.
- Handles filing and data management.
- Identifies any technical or schedule lapses.
- Identifies areas of low skill with respect to assigned scope of work.
- Applies lessons learned from previous projects.
- Responsible for 100% self-check of documents to ensure quality work.
- Compiles errors and mistake data with reference to project quality requirements.
- Executes tasks on schedule within allocated man-hours.
- Prepares sketches and mark-ups for drawings/documents.
- Prepares information drawings.
- Reviews and understands project specifications and procedures.
- Confirms scope of work and prepares deliverables.
- Takes responsibility for the ICS design of the project or proposal.
- Ensures relevant codes and specifications are followed.
- Checks and coordinates with Area Lead Engineer to ensure all design data are integrated into the ICS design.
- Handles coordination with external interfaces including partners, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Implements risk mitigation and incorporates modifications in the design.
- Ensures compliance with reporting requirements defined by project execution procedures.
- Integrates contractual aspects and follows QA and HSE procedures.
- Prepares responses to Client comments within schedule and informs Area Lead Engineer in case of difficulties.
- Assists in the vendor and subcontractor selection process.
- Follows implementation of management tools, lists of deliverables, and monitors physical progress.
- Consolidates and produces feedback and lessons-learned documents.
- Participates in continuous development of the department, its tools, and processes.
- Promotes HSE culture and compliance with the company’s charter.
- Prepares instrument location, cable tray, and JB assignments according to best engineering practices.
- Prepares information drawings.

- 3–5 years of direct experience in instrument and control design for the process industry (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Pharmaceuticals).
- Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environments is highly valued.
- Fully understands 3D modeling software operability.
- Software Skills: Smart Plant Instrumentation, Navisworks, Smart Plant Review
