Senior Piping Stress Engineer assist to lead and controls Piping stress mainly for Offshore topside modules. The Senior Piping Stress Engineer serves in the field of piping stress analysis, responsible for solving the most complex engineering challenges, establishing analytical standards, and guiding teams to ensure the safety and quality of critical projects. This role demands not only exceptional individual technical proficiency but also comprehensive capabilities in project management, client communication.
• Assist Head of Discipline/ Senior person for managing a corporate organization and mentors Piping Engineers in the Discipline.
• Identify optimal pipe stress solutions and prepare associated technical reports.
• Assist the Lead for Topside Piping Stress in Project Team.
• Independently models complex piping systems (e.g., main process lines, lines connected to rotating machinery).
• Performs static, dynamic, and fatigue analysis.
• Capable of independently qualifying piping routing for high pressure compressors / pumps & other static equipment’s in oil and gas industry as per codes.
• Stress analysis (static & dynamic) of critical lines and interpretation of results.
• Ensure compliance with code requirements and other project specifications for nozzle loading.
• Preparation of specifications for expansion bellows, springs, rigid struts, etc.
• Preparation of Data Sheets for expansion bellows, springs, Rigid struts, sliding plates, etc.
• Technical evaluation of vendor offers and vendor documents review for special pipe support items like expansion bellow, springs, Rigid struts etc.
• Responsible for Dynamic analysis including modal, harmonic and response spectrum analysis.
• Conformity of the technical documentation to applicable codes and norms.
• Carry out Sea Transportation Analysis, Blast, etc.
• Involve in IFC Isometric Sign-off.
• Carry out Necessary calculations (i.e Trunnion, PSV Reaction, Slug, Flange Leakage Check etc.).
• Review of Vendor Drawings.
• Responsible for implementation of stress analysis results into design models.
• Site inspections to verify compliance with design and stress analysis requirements.
• Nozzle Flexibilities (WRC) and Stresses.
• Providing piping Support Loads to Structural Team.
• Provides guidance to junior engineers and handles day-to-day technical interfacing with Process, Civil, and other disciplines.
• The ideal candidate of the position will have a strong background in Offshore Oil & Gas Industry.
