Primary Responsibilities
 
  • Lead a 100-person multi-disciplinary design team, including engineering subcontractors, to execute and complete the detail design for newbuilding Jacket Wellhead Platforms.
  • Negotiate and communicate with the company’s and third-party engineering top management and department heads to ensure engineering contracts and deliverables meet client requirements, budgets, and schedules.
  • Provide technical advice on jacket platform steel structure stability, fatigue strength calculations, pile-soil interaction, material specifications, and other structural analyses.
  • Manage the in-house team to optimize design quality, technical safety, cost efficiency, and HSE performance for Jacket WHP projects.
  • Oversee FEED and detailed design phases for offshore projects, coordinating all aspects of platform design and interfacing with international teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Naval Architecture, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant offshore experience, including Jacket Wellhead Platforms (WHP) and Central Processing Platforms (CPP), with at least 2 years in a similar leadership role.
  • Experience leading full jacket platform design (including topsides) for international projects, preferably based in Shanghai office (permanent staff).
  • Proficient in engineering analysis software such as SACS, Sesam, GeniE, and 3D steel structure design tools like AVEVA, Tekla, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of classification rules and offshore standards/regulations (API, AISC, DNV, ABS, BV, ASME, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in jacket construction and installation; understanding of oil & gas process philosophy is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, with a cheerful and pleasant personality, and proven ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to overseas business travel: Bangkok, Thailand (~6 months), then Shanghai.
