Primary Responsibilities
|
| |
Job Summary
Responsible for leading and managing the design function across projects, ensuring all engineering deliverables are technically sound, fully coordinated, compliant with regulations, and aligned with project cost and schedule objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end design process from concept/FEED through detailed design to construction support
- Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams (CSA, MEP, architectural, process) to ensure integrated design delivery
- Review and approve design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Drive design optimisation, value engineering, and constructability improvements
- Manage design consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams
- Ensure timely authority submissions and compliance with local codes and standards
- Support tendering activities, including technical clarifications and scope development
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and site teams to resolve design issues
- Oversee BIM coordination, clash detection, and digital design workflows
- Ensure proper documentation, QA/QC, and as-built records
Requirements
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with design management exposure
- Strong knowledge of design codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in industrial, infrastructure, or building projects
- Proficiency in engineering design and BIM tools
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
