Primary Responsibilities
|
| |
The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all project site activities comply with local Singaporean safety legislation and JDN Group safety requirements. The WSH Coordinator plans, implements, and monitors safety measures, promotes safe work practices, and facilitates incident investigations and improvement initiatives. This includes proactive risk identification, accident investigation, coordination of corrective actions, and the promotion of our S.A.F.E culture across operations and departments.
Safety Coordination
Plan, implement, and monitor safety measures in compliance with Singapore regulations and JDN’s internal standards.
Ensure all site work adheres to safety rules, safe work procedures, and legal obligations.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions and practices.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities and corrective measures.
Prepare and manage safety documentation including Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work
Procedures.
Liaise with internal departments and subcontractors regarding safety compliance.
Coordinate and conduct mass toolbox meetings and site safety briefings.
Ensure lifting equipment and gear comply with monthly color-coding and certification.
Organize safety training for workers and site staff.
Assist in evaluating and improving site safety policies and procedures.
Perform any other safety-related tasks as assigned.
Incident Investigation and Improvement Coordination
Lead and conduct investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and contributing factors.
Form investigation teams by involving relevant technical experts and affected departments.
Coordinate collection of evidence, witness interviews and other applicable data.
Analyse incidents using tools such as Barrier Failure Analysis or 5 Why
Develop clear and concise investigation reports, incident notifications, HSE Flashes, and corrective action plans in Intelex
Collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions, including process or equipment changes.
Track and monitor the implementation of corrective actions and their effectiveness.
