Primary Responsibilities
|
| |
- Ensure compliance with HS&E policies and procedures; focus on safety and regulatory adherence.
- Maintain 6S program in all workshops and storage areas to improve organization, efficiency, and safety.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the Fabrication team, including task assignment, performance monitoring, and staff support.
- Participate in or lead LEAN initiatives to improve operational efficiencies.
- Monitor all fabrication operations to ensure smooth workflow and quality output.
- Review WPS prior to work starting and highlight any issues to welders and fitters.
- Ensure fabrication work orders are executed per production schedule.
- Select welding procedures, evaluate and specify welding repairs and stress relief treatments to meet standards and customer requirements.
- Review technical drawings and coordinate with departments to resolve production issues.
- Participate in technical audits of 3rd party, sub-contract, and fabrication contractors.
- Investigate Fabrication NCRs and implement corrective and preventive measures to meet quality KPIs.
- Maintain inspection equipment, welding plants, flux ovens, welding rod heaters, and quivers in calibration.
- Review fabrication routing and timing on work orders; track actual vs. planned times.
- Control purchasing and inventory of welding consumables, ensuring proper storage and handling.
