Professional Characteristics

  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Equipment
Primary Responsibilities

  • Supplier Coordination and On-site Support: Work primarily at the main supplier’s factory during design, fabrication, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and pre-shipment phases. Travel to and work alongside other vendors or suppliers during critical project execution and preparation, as required.
  • C&Q Lifecycle Coordination: Liaise closely with packaged equipment and system suppliers to align on Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) test approaches and deliverables in accordance with the Validation Master Plan (VMP) and C&Q Execution Plan (CQEP), ensuring adherence to agreed scope, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Stakeholder and Interface Management: Act as the regional focal point between suppliers and internal stakeholders, including the C&Q Program Manager, C&Q Lead, Quality Lead, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and System Owners, to align on C&Q requirements and deliverables.
  • Supplier Deliverables Management: Manage supplier documentation and deliverables, including Vendor Turnover Packages (VTOPs), Construction Turnover Packages (CTOPs), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), FAT protocols, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) protocols, where applicable.
  • Documentation and Readiness Management: Ensure VTOPs are complete and meet quality requirements to facilitate the transition to site C&Q activities, including CTOP, SAT, Installation Qualification (IQ), and Operational Qualification (OQ). Drive supplier readiness for Design Qualification (DQ), pre-FAT, and FAT by ensuring that documentation, test protocols, and systems are aligned and approved before execution.
  • Quality and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project deliverables comply with applicable regulatory, quality, safety, health and environmental (SHE) standards. Implement global standards and procedures, maintain audit-ready documentation, and ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Technical Design Review: Review supplier design documentation, including P&IDs, specifications, and control strategies, to verify compliance with User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, where applicable. Identify and escalate construction changes that deviate from approved designs without the required client approval or notification.
  • Quality and Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics and take corrective action when necessary, particularly in cases involving non-compliance, quality risks, or deviations from approved requirements.
  • Project Controls and Reporting: Establish and maintain controls for project risks, changes, issues, and progress. Monitor fabrication, documentation, and construction testing activities, report progress against established baselines and the master plan, and escalate issues while driving recovery actions where required.
  • Risk and Constraint Management: Identify and communicate risks and constraints, including fabrication limitations, local practices, and workshop constraints, that may affect project delivery.
  • Schedule Management: Own and manage scope schedules, track commitments, forecasts, and variances, and ensure schedule performance remains within approved project parameters.
